Gabby joined Smith, Wallis, & Scott, LLP in 2005 as an assistant to Attorney Christopher B. Scott in cases involving Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, and Medical Malpractice. In 2010, she graduated from the University of West Georgia with a B.B.A. in Accounting from an accredited AACSB school.
Senior Paralegal / Department Head, Social Security
Stacey Wallis Kinard is the senior paralegal for Christopher B. Scott, Esq. She has been at the law firm of Smith, Wallis & Scott, LLP since April, 2002. She assists Mr. Scott with cases of Social Security Disability, Workers’ Compensation, and Personal Injury.
Prior to coming to Smith, Wallis & Scott, LLP, she graduated from Auburn University in 1992 with a B.S. degree in Finance. Upon graduation, she attended the National Center for Paralegal Training and obtained her paralegal certificate in December, 1992. In January, 1993, she went to work for a large Atlanta law firm where she was a part of the Intellectual Property section of the firm. Here, she assisted in copyright and patent litigation trials as well as assisting in prosecuting trademark applications.
Stacey is married to Glenn Kinard and they have two children: Kristen and Jenna. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, photography and spending time with family and friends in Panama City Beach.
Senior Paralegal / Department Head, Personal Injury
Jane A. Turner is a native of Carroll County who joined the firm in 2015, bringing with her 24 years experience in the legal field, specializing in Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability.
She received a degree in Computer Programming/Data Processing Technology from West Georgia Technical College in 1982. She also attended University of West Georgia for American Institute of Banking classes. After becoming interested in the legal field, she attended Clayton State College for Paralegal Studies. Jane graduated Summa Cum Laude from South University in Savannah, Georgia with an Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies in 2012. She also graduated Summa Cum Laude from South University with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies in 2014.
She is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyer’s Association. She is also a member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Lambda Epsilon Chi (National Honors Society in Paralegal/Legal Assistant Studies), National Technical Honor Society, and the Future Business Leaders of America. In her free time, Jane enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoys working outdoors and reading.
Paralegal / Department Head, Workers' Compensation
Deidra joined Smith, Wallis & Scott, LLP in 2016. Ms. Musick is the department head/paralegal for the workers compensation department. In her free time Deidra enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dog Molli.
Lilly graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2015 with a Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. She joined Smith, Wallis & Scott, LLP in October 2016 as the Marketing Assistant. Lilly loves composing music, going to concerts and spending time with her husband.
Yasbeth Z. Strauch
Director of Client Engagement
Yasbeth Z. Strauch grew up in El Paso, Texas where she attended the University of Texas at El Paso. She then moved to Colorado Springs where she became a Legal Assistant in the Workers’ Compensation department for a Law Firm. After a year, she moved to Georgia and started working at Smith, Wallis & Scott, LLP in the Workers’ Compensation department. Yasbeth enjoys playing volleyball, and spending time with her family during her spare time.
